Digital Video Broadcasting refers to the broadcast standard for TV stations in Europe. The DVB-T and DVB-T2 refer to UHF based transmissions for both free-to-air and pay TV. DVB-S and DVB-S2 are the digital satellite equivalent of DVB-T and DVB-T2. They are used by FreeSat, SKY and various other satellite broadcasters. DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 are updated protocols which support high-definition content delivery
