VPN
Virtual Private Network. A VPN is a tunnel created over another (transit) network to link two or more sites or points. Encryption is most often used with the Internet being the most common transit network for VPNs. The VPN connection masks the transit network out entirely making the points being connected via the VPN appear as one network.

VLAN
Virtual Local Area Network. A VLAN enables the logical separation of a physical network switch into groups of isolated networks. This is often done for security, management and other reasons and enables the dynamic reconfiguration of a network and reduced overall costs.

VGA
Video Graphics Array or VGA connector is a standard found on personal computers, laptops, projectors and televisions usually as a high-density 15 pin connector. A VGA signal is an analogue transmission based on the RGBHV standard. A common use for VGA is displaying slides from a laptop via a projector for presentation purposes.
